这款密封型材的典型用途是铁路行业，该行业使用的门密封方式可以确保一旦起火，伸缩型材将有效地密封厢体。这样可以防止有毒烟雾弥散到其他区域，同时防止氧气进入厢体。
采用三元乙丙橡胶 (EPDM) 制成，符合 EN 45545-2 标准，带有直径 4 毫米的石墨材质绳索 (PROMASEAL®-LX)。密封系统符合 EN 45545-2 标准。
绳索在 190°C 下会膨胀到其原始尺寸的 22 倍。
