Industrilas switches to climate effective zinc

With many years of experience in business development and a strong understanding of the Indian market, Prashant Gonsalves has joined Industrilas as COO India. In his new role, he will help strengthen the company’s presence in the region, build customer relationships, and support continued growth in a market with significant potential.

 

A journey built on experience and market knowledge

Prashant is based in Mumbai and brings extensive experience working with products and customers across diverse industries. Over the years, he has gained broad experience in sectors such as HVAC, railways, machine building, food and pharma, and renewable energy, while building a strong network and a deep understanding of the Indian business landscape.

He brings many years of experience in business development within related product areas, where he has gained both market knowledge and long-term customer relationships.

“India is both a production hub and a large consumer market with good potential for business.
With an understanding of market dynamics and customer requirements, one can create meaningful value for both customers and the company,” Prashant says.

 

Joining Industrilas at the right time

For Prashant, joining Industrilas was not only a professional decision but also a personal one. Having known people within the company for many years and followed its development from a distance, he felt confident in taking the next step.

“I knew the people, I knew the company, and I could see the progress Industrilas has made. That gave me confidence. I really appreciate and value the openness and transparency here,” he says.

He also saw the opportunity to take on a broader role and help shape the company’s future in India.
“If I could prove myself by contributing to the company’s growth and grow alongside it, I felt it was an opportunity worth taking.”

 

A clear view of the opportunities ahead

Looking ahead, Prashant sees strong opportunities for Industrilas in India, particularly in segments where quality, performance and long-term value are important. HVAC remains a key area, but he also points to railway, battery and energy storage systems, EV charging and machine manufacturing as promising markets.

His focus is on strengthening existing customer relationships, growing the company’s position in segments where it already has a foothold, and identifying new areas where Industrilas’ solutions can make a difference.

“If we want to grow in India, we need to understand the Indian way of doing business. Customers expect quality, product availability, and quick response. That is where we need to be strong,” he says.

 

First impressions of Sweden and the Industrilas factory

During his recent visit to Sweden, Prashant had the opportunity to visit the Industrilas factory in Nässjö for the first time. The visit left a strong impression.

“The factory was very impressive. It feels futuristic, not just because of the machines and production, but also in its focus on environmental sustainability and the forward-thinking approach behind it. There’s a clear long-term vision that I found truly inspiring,” he says.

He also appreciated seeing how much of the production is handled in-house and the scale at which the company operates.

 

Looking ahead

As he settles into his new role, Prashant is looking forward to building on his experience, strengthening Industrilas’ position in India and contributing to the company’s continued journey.
