PROJECT TEDDY BEAR

Industrilas supports ambulance care with teddy bears

Industrilas supports ambulance care with teddy bears

The guys from Round Table 107 Nässjö initiated a project last year where they raised money to buy teddy bears to be used by ambulance staff in the area. The bears are meant to be handed to children who come in contact with the staff. A stuffed animal can help in a difficult situation and hopefully make it a little easier by offering comfort and support.

The money was raised from both the members themselves and from local businesses who wanted to support the initiative. Industrilas was one of them.

A month ago, Round Table 107 Nässjö gladly handed over close to 500 teddy bears to the ambulance staff and the response was huge.
— It is really positive that people want to participate for a good cause. Research shows that stuffed animals is a good way to shift focus from a tough situation where a child is injured or sick, says Thomas Johansson, Operating Manager at the ambulance care in Jönköping county.

On March 2, the show “Efter fem” brought up and acknowledge the initiative on Swedish television. Watch the clip here: TV4play - efter fem
